I had always admired Maureen’s work as a great American poet. When she asked me to build her website, I was surprised to learn that not only did she not already have a website, but she had sporadic and uneven representation in her online presence as a whole. What I could find was incomplete information on her books, archival recordings here and there on numerous websites, and out-of-date author bios and photos. I knew we needed to get her website up and running fast!

What Maureen needed was a thorough place to house her multi-decade career with everything from multimedia footage to individual pages for her 20 published books, as well as featuring her official university-housed archives.

Now, her website encompasses 30 fully responsive pages that function across all devices and browsers, guaranteeing lovers of poetry and students alike get to interact with her work in one comprehensive location.

The custom design I created, augmented by tailored CSS, plays to her distinctive aesthetic, and the logo I made riffs right from her personality to really capture the viewer’s eye.

The addition of specialized video and audio pages fosters dynamic multimedia interactions, and integrating her social media feeds into her navigation bar ensures users remain actively connected to Maureen’s broader online community.
